I received my B.A. in English from the University of Chicago and my J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law. I worked as an Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Chicago for three years and a software consultant for admissions systems for an additional three.  My perspective on the admissions process has been sought by a number of media outlets including the Financial Times.

I have also worked as a creative director with Fortune 500 companies to produce internal marketing campaigns and large-scale events.  And as a published author, I know how to work with students to transform average essays into compelling personal statements.  It is a unique background which lets me think like a writer and marketer with the added advantage of actual admissions experience.
